The company has invested heavily in high-performance computing and graphics hardware. Idle hardware benefits no one. When these machines are not in use, their spare capacity is donated to Folding@home under the company's Philanthropic Computing Division.
Folding@home is a distributed research effort studying the proteins behind human disease. Returns on this program are counted in scientific progress and given in full to the public research commons. We remain fully invested.
